I started taking photos in the 9th grade, taking a photography class. I friend of mine who also took the class didn't like it, so he gave me his camera. A Pentax K-1000! I carried that camera everywhere I went. For years and years that was my main camera. Sure other came and gone, but I still have that Pentax.
Well then digital came along. Being very up to date on new technology I had to see what this was all about. Wow this opened up an whole new world of photography for me. I still love my old film Pentax. But you can do so much with digital.
Several years ago, with my wife's encouragement, I went professional. Bought lots of equipment and have been trying to make a living as a professional photographer. Took classes, still taking classes. Certified as a Professional Photographer.
The money is not as lucrative and people think. And not as I thought either. I guess I am not going to become a millionaire doing this. But I still love it! There is allot of competition out there. Good thing I am not in it for the money. It would be nice though.
